A displacement roll is a barrel roll that moves your flight path so it's parallel to your original flight path and your aircraft is behind the position it would be in on your original flight path.
Out of plane maneuvers refer to the geometric plane defined by 3 points. Two aircraft in formation are in the same plane. If one aircraft goes up or down or rolls left or right it has maneuvered out of plane in reference to the other aircraft.
