Ram like I told you the other day online you need a TNT 2 (ultra if you can) or even the ne geforce model. The reason I say this is more versatility. and better write up from the guru's. I have a TNT2 ultra from Creative labs have excelent frame rates with it.

TNT2 performance is very poor with slow CPUs
and doesn't support natively Glide.
Voodoo 3 3000 is superb for slow CPUs like
AMD's K6II (V3 drivers have an excelent
3DNow support).

So, if you have a very fast Athlon or PIII,
go for the TNT2, else, the best choice is
the V3.

GeForce should be a good solution for slow
CPUs also, but it is very expensive (DDR).

Get a TNT2 Ram,it`s the better choice of the two. It doesn`t need to be an Ultra either,I get comparable performance with my V770.

Actually, I would recommend one of the SDR GeForce cards right now.

They're the next generation/step up from the TNT2 cards, and they're much less expensive than the DDR Ge-Force cards.

Today I ordered a Hercules/Guillemont 3D Prophet GeForce SDR off www.pricewatch.com  for $167 plus shipping.

Just another option, best bang for the buck in my opinon.

I use the Voodoo 3 3000 and am happy with it, but if I had the choice due to price when I got it, I woulda got TNT2 just for the 32 bit graphics, I hear they are much better!

I don't know if you've seen it... but it may be worth lookin into.
ATI has a new card out with the ATI 128RagePro chipset and 64MEG of ram.. .yeah, 64... unfortunately this thing is priced the same as a detonator, which runs almost $300 chucks...

good luck... hope u can afford it.. heheh i know i can't.
