A.  How much do the cups cost vs. regular plastic cups?

and

B.  How many people stick there fingers up the bottom of the cup to see how it works and lose their beer?

wrongway

But if you've got the option to stand in line for 10 minutes to get something for $.50 cheaper or get it that fast, most people will pay a little extra for that speed.

I'd rather drink camel urine before Crudweiser, then again, I might not be able to tell the difference.

Same with Miller although...  it IS triple hops brewed...

Not so much "no" head, but it does seem to minimize the head and more importantly, consistently the same amount with each pour... come to think of it, this may be the end of being served a beer at a game by an employee with a little smile, the boss-hag is gonna be able to account for the exact number of pours per keg now.  "Here Bob, take this drug test, yours was the only keg that came up 3 cups short of the rest tonight."

Stop procrasinating by being lazy or cheap, buy your own and hook up whatever beer keg you want to it.  :devil

http://www.bottomsupbeer.com/

Looks like the current record is 44 pours in one minute with that machine... for once, that might actually be too much beer.

Edit:  Cool!  Looks like the bottom of the cup is actualy an FDA aproved magnet (like on your refrigerator) disk that seals magneticaly to an opposite polarized ring at the bottom of the cup.  The magnet can be a collectable after you drink your beer, simply remove it and stick it to the side of your fridge or kegrator at home.  Still looks like you could pop it off pretty easily and loose your beer, but the video clip seems to show it takes a little bit more effort than just a plastic flap valve.  http://www.grinonindustries.com/mag.htm

Quick, someone link this to Pyro and HiTech before this year's con!

Interesting… I just read up on the dispenser and the cups. The valve (or disc) in the bottom of the cup is like a refrigerator magnet. And it can have any image printed on it. So after you drink the beer, you pop out the disc as a collectable from whatever event you bought the beer at.

So… They sell more beer because they can dispense it faster. They sell more beer because people want to see the dispenser in action. AND they sell more beer… Because drunks like shiny little trinkets like refrigerator magnets.

Add the fact that they can accurately keep tract of exactly how many beers were sold, ending give-aways to friends of the bartender.

I’m calling “Genius” on this gadget.

That's definitely an innovative way of filling it from the bottom, using a magnet, and the fact that you can remove it & take it home with your teams logo on it is cool, I like the customer review of it, "Finally a reason for it to cost so much".

Unfortunately it says that the home unit won't be available until 2013, so still a few years away from having it at home, although it does say that there will be a few times before then when it will be available to home users if you subscribe to there mailing list.

The magnets would also allow one to count their beers, like you currently can with either bottle caps or can tabs.  Course I'm not sure how many people have any interest in doing that at a major event, which is why I generally try to avoid the traffic after said events...   :uhoh
