Youtube got where it's trash for video's . Use Vimeo !

From what I can tell, VIMEO was designed more for people doing low budget videos. My employer did one with professional camera and sound crews and posted it there for public consumption. I dont think its meant to be a YOUTUBE replacement at all. They have their own niche.

I started using Vimeo recently and I prefer it to Youtube, HOWEVER, if you don't pay for a subscription, your video gets put on a waitlist to complete. Sometimes that will take 90 minutes, so if you're not in a hurry, Vimeo is the way to go.

The advantage of Youtube, in my case, is that my 52" Panasonic plasmas with Viera allows me to view Youtube on the plasma TV without being hooked up to a computer...with Vimeo, I have to hook up my laptop to the Plasma to show Vimeo videos I've produced.

Incidently, here is the USS Midway, which we toured in San Diego last week-end. Just a 3 min HD movie for fun.

All of us RC flyer's have change over to Vimeo . I have 89 member's just in my group with over 200 video's .

Tube Stop is an add on for firefox, it will prevent any commercials from playing before a video when said video is viewed outside the main channel page.

This year I will pay for it . The only thing that I don't like about Vimeo is the waiting the hour before it go's live . Witch is no big deal really for the quality that you get and I get to use the music I want .

Or even longer if you don't post videos you don't have the rights to post.  They don't seem to care about "borrowing" audio though.

  The nice thing about the internet SO FAR, is that its a vehicle for entertainment with a few seconds of commercials thrown in. As opposed to cable tv that is a vehicle for commercials with a few seconds of lousy shows thrown in. And we pay for it.
