here in Oregon we get 1 deer a year, granted if you can find one that's not living on a pay to hunt Ranch, the state has killed off any good hunting by allowing and supplementing these big ranches to care for the Elk and Deer during the winter, they get big and fat and lazy and just remain on the ranches year round mostly, most of the large ranches (they all border BLM land) are all fenced with 10ft pig wire, with locked gates that they open ( durning the ruts) to let the Animals in, If you get caught on any of the ranches its jail time or worse ya get Shot at, but if you have 4 to 5 grand they will "let" you hunt on there land, sure you have your state tag drawings for the area's also, but the amount of tags sold for each area is far far more than the wildwife in the area, ( thanks ranchers)
i used to really love to hunt and looked forward to ever season, but now with how much it costs and how scarce the Animals are ( on blm land ) it's turned into the rich mans sport here
