USB port help
« on: February 10, 2011, 04:46:21 PM »
My rudder pedals and Joystick both need to be unplugged and plugged back in when I start the game. I dunno why, and it's really not a big deal because they are still calibrated and everything, but it's kinda annoying. Any tips?

Try going into device manager, navigate to the individual usb ports, right click, properties, power management, and disabling allowing computer to turn it off to save power.

If not, try getting a powered USB hub... I've seen power supplies get weak to the point in which the USB devices don't work correctly.

My brother had issues with an external hard drive not working.  Worked fine on other computer but not his.  A few months later his power supply went out.  After replacing it, his hard drive miraculously started working!  Hallelujah!

Regardless, if it's a power issue, a powered hub should help.
