this 110 is charger, coming in allmost dead 6 with a little elevation. when there coming in like this, use the time to line your gunsight up on them and determine what angle you need to use to get hits. (charger is slightly above me which means hes going to have to do a small dive when he goes to attack, knowing this information i should put my crosshairs slightly ahead of him so he dives into my stream of bullets.)

start firing from 1000ft out. you want to allways go for the wing when trying to kill a 110 in buffs, the nose and fuselage of a 110 can pretty much soak up rounds to where you'll have plenty 30mm rounds in your tail before he goes boom.
so aim for the wing, if hes coming in dead six like this. IF the 110 is doing a steep dive on you, or attacking from an angle, aim for the engines. from what ive experianced with attacking aircraft is that if you shoot out there engine (or atleast 1 of them) or even just give them an oil leak, they will abandon their previous method of attack and will usually ether run home, or end up just trying to dead-6 you which should make it very easy for you to shoot them down.
first shot from 1000ft hits his engine.

now, even the 110 is pretty tough when it comes to its engine and wing. if your first burst on his wing doesnt tear it off, do not panic and decide to change your target, just keep nailing that wing with rounds and i promise ya it'll come off before he has enough time to get an accurate shot on you.
this screenshot was taken when charger was within 800ft, i paniced because 20/30mm rounds were flashing by my plane, and changed my target from his engine to his nose (in an attempt to shoot out his cannons) dont make this mistake. it will allmost surely be your demise.

charger realised he wasent going to win this engage against my hail of bullets, so he tried to bank away, pretty much i raked his plane with rounds, until his left wing came off.
BUT when that 110s wing comes off, do not relax thinking that your safe. most 110s can hold a steady aim for about 2 seconds after a wing comes off, which is enough time for experianced pilots to get a good aim on you. stay in your guns, and keep raking the plane, when one wing goes off then aim for the other one untill that 110 is plummeting down to earth with its wings clipped.

the end result, a 110 fully clipped of his wings and a flight a b17s safely flying home

hope ive been some help
