straffing gvs
« on: January 21, 2011, 06:38:39 PM »
Which gvs could I expect to take out with 20 or 30mm in a fighter, besides the jeep?

Try strafing with the B-25H (it looks a bit like a fighter if you look at it the right way, honest).  If you have tracers on, and the guy on the receiving end has a graphically-challenged computer, you can generate some amount of lag on their end.  This and large amounts of dust kicked up by bullets can help you make a safe getaway if you're against a Wirblewind.  And don't forget to lob a 75mm shell along with the 50cals, just so you can do some real damage.
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

You can also kill a flak panzie with 20mms but you have to come diving straight down at them aiming at the open turret.  You can even do it with .50 cals provided you have enough guns and the fire is concentrated in a small area but the risk of getting shot down is extremely high if the gunner is any good.

Neutering wirbles and osties is easy in just about any plane. Just wait till ou see them shooting at someone else then go in and pop them.
