1/23/2011-- Squad challenge in the AVA
« on: January 24, 2011, 06:55:51 AM »
frame 1--objective: allies bomb the town at 79 down to the white flag. axis defend

Last night saw the Axis out number as a large flight of p51's came diving in. while they fought valiantly, they were vastly outnumbered and out-gunned. time after time, one of our hero's of the third reich went down. Next came the bombers with escorts. the B17's found their target largely undefended due to their altitude. as the Axis fighters struggled to climb up to them. they manage to drop the bomb load, however they missed their mark thereby keeping the battle going.
after this the allies changed their tactics coming in NOE. at this time the Axis managed to scramble enough fighters to put up a good defense. this time wave after wave of low lever bombers made their way to the Mark. they managed to inflict some damage, however this time, one after another, the brave allied bomber pilots succumbed to the guns of the Axis hero's.

at the end of the 60 minutes, the axis managed to hold off the Allies so frame one Goes to the Axis.

frame 2-- objective: small airfield base take

as the axis dogs have invaded italy, then managed to sneak around and get base 11. our brave boys in p51 and spitfires attacked the inferior pilots relentlessly trying to drive them back to their mothers and to their homeland. they send wave after wave of 190's, 109's, and ju-88's, but the brave boys at base 11, with their American determination, drove the nazi dogs back.
waves of ground vehicles and fighters came in to take out the town but they bravely held them back. the spawn point was littered with the Hulks of tanks from jeager1, sunny1, texican and so many others! at the end of the battle. we didnt capture 11 but we held them off

at end of the 45 minutes, a draw was determined.

Frame 3-- Objective: take Vbase. Tanks only

This battle was also a epic battle, although not like the other night. Theres nothing like watching 6 panzers and tigers defending a base. it was wild and the Allies did a great job trying to take the base. while the attempt by the axis to take the other base was minimal, it was a great battle and alot of fun.

this frame also ended in a draw!

Axis 1
allies 0
