SSG made another carrier game thats pretty good, Carriers at War. It's been updated and re-released on Matrix Games website.

And if you're into wargames, you could do a lot worse than working your way through the Matrix catalog!

Many years ago i was in a store in Sydney which specialised in wargames, and military books. Back then it was mostly board games with a selection of the early video games. Back then I was shopping for a good wargame for my C-128 and asked at the counter for a recommendation. The person behind the counter pointed to 2 gentlemen talking in front of the video game shelves and said you might want to ask them - one was the founder of SSG who promptly handed me both Carriers at War, and the now very defunct but awesome Europe Ablaze. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oZwCHKo_34

I had that mod but it got very old very fast. I would LOVE a civil war game like this but being able to shoot someone halfway across the map was very uncool. It made it too easy. If you left it like that and played bunker hill for ETW - the British never get close to the hill. You don't even have to move your units.
Like, ya know, when that thing that makes you move, it has pistons and things, When your thingamajigy is providing power, you do not hear other peoples thingamajig when they are providing power.

I was tryin to play the company of heroes but after i installed it, it keeps telling me: CoHO Launcher has stopped working. So i just gave up.
Download the most recent version of it without the launcher and try changing the launcher to not use torrenting but a direct download.

hahah perhaps if I knew how great the games were going to be!

I used to spend hours on Europe Ablaze, especially on the what ifs like upgrading the polish airforce with hurricanes etc...SSG used to be brilliant with their RUN5 magazine full of scenarios and tables of aircraft, and ships for their EA, Battlefront and CAW games.

not exactly sure how to do that. i have the most recent. Whats happening is that my launcher is freezing up while its trying to update. it stays stuck on 1.92%. i have tried manually opening additional ports for the launcher specifically but still nothing. I submitted a log to the COHO and then basically told me that they didn't know what to do.
