On top of all the fun, it looked really good too!

Absolutely true!  In the 'panic' of the moment, much as apparently happened to the real guys, I was trying to decide should I keep the tanks, as it was a single 109 I turned in on that was headed towards the bombers.  I set thought I selected tanks and tried to punch them off but fired the 50s instead!.  He was pulling away so I selected tanks, punched them off and began to gain, forgetting to select guns again and by that time I was so into it I didn't notice I hadn't until I'd been shot at and chased to the deck and I was running for home!

Thankfully I didn't punch off the tanks and have the engine quit! :)

Did you survive and get home to report all those claims?  If not, the gun camera film is still in the camera in your wing and part of that smoking hole in the ground you became :)
