Power sources and usb stuff
« on: February 03, 2011, 10:27:00 AM »
I have a quad core HP machine from Best Buy. Didn't make my own so the power supply isn't that great. With an x65 joystick, saitek pedals, mouse, keyboard, track ir, CH throttle quadrant, saitek switch panel, camera, speakers, headset, iphone usb plug, and more you can understand the need for powered usb hubs. What I did was get three powered usb hubs. I took the track ir and the stick and plugged them directly into the pc. The rest of the accessories are distributed to the powered usb hubs. Now I can play and look behind me without the track ir going crazy when I pull or push the stick. What used to happen was when I went to look around it would work until the stick was used. The power would drop and the track ir would go back to forward view. Even the keyboard would make the speakers give feed back when I would zoom in and out on the map. Keep this in mind before getting a new stick or getting rid of that track ir set up. It simply might just be the amount of power your pc is able to push. A friend asked me to post this for you guys. :salute
