Read about that. Production costs will be key, especially because there is no such thing as a hydrogen well. You must expend a significant amount of energy to crack hydrogen out of water. The cleanest way to do that is nuclear power, but the regulatory hurdles (which completely ignore the safe historical record of other nation's nuclear power industry) need to be streamlined before that will be cost effective.
The way to economic prosperity is cheap energy. We already know how to achieve this. The question is if our government will bow to the vocal whackos or not, when determining what is good for the country.
