New Zero Interior Color
« on: February 24, 2011, 07:12:27 AM »
Just curious but I noticed the new cockpit is chromate green in color. I thought the Japanese used a blueish color like was in the other versions?

The bluish green primer was called Aotake and was used on all internal parts of the Zero except the cockpit. It was actually a semi transparent blue which faded to green. You can see it in the wheel wells and flaps of the A6M5 skin. The cockpit was painted in one of two shades of chromate green. Mitsubishi and Nakajima built Zeroes used different shades of internal and external paint.
