Modern Combat Aviation Game?
« on: February 19, 2011, 08:07:09 PM »
Anyone care to recommend any (newer) games that use jets. I play Falcon 4.0 which is good because i like the complexity of it, but it is not online. Does anyone have any preferences?

I have Lock-On: Flaming Cliffs 2. It's great, but not NEARLY as detailed as the DCS series they're pumping out now.

Just got done figuring how to navigate in the A-10C, and now I find out I need to learn all about JTACs?? :O

Not to mention how to deploy each different weapon, then gun's PAC system, etc. which all take about 3 weeks to completely understand.

You get the idea. :)

There's still plenty of people who play Falcon4 over the net.  Have you checked the simhq forums?

I have, but something needs to be done to change router settings to allow oline gameplay, which last time I tried was extremely complicated. I opened a port and it still didn't work. Could you give me a link to the simhq?

Thanks man, this is the closest I can get to fulfill my itch for flying fighter jets.

I've tried it, but last time there was a visual issue and it was just a black screen. Couldn't find a fix any ideas?

Okay will do, do you play it as well? I'd really like to learn the avionics in depth, i've done pretty well on my own but its a slow process.
