348th FG "Kearby's Thunderbolts"
« on: December 01, 2001, 02:23:00 PM »
Looking to form a new squadron of Jugs, Named above.  This was a WW2 pacific fighter group of p-47's under the command of Neel Kearby, a premier jug ace who racked up an impressive 22 kills.

The main role will be jabo, but also air to air combat designed to defeat japanese aircraft.  (as it was a pacific theater of operations allied fighter group.)

This will be a european GMT timezone squad,
and I am looking for an XO with a fair amount of experience in flightsims, and can fly regularly.

This is alot to ask, but if anyone would like to apply, either post here or email me at kronos32@hotmail.com   .

HMMM... lemme elaborate on the above a bit....  348th FG is looking for 1 individual, no experience necessary, in the european area, who is looking to learn or fly a challenging aircraft.  We would like someone who is interested in teamwork, is willing to look out for their squadmates in a fight, and who is not afraid of going into battle with a 2nd genaration U.S. fighter.  I.E. the Jug, (p-47), thunderbolt, spitbolt, tank, uber allied iron plane  :D  Sidenote, we will also be flying p-51's every once in a great while, as historically the 348th FG replaced the Jug with Mustangs in 1945.

Any individual who fits these categories, plz, email myself, or get ahold of either me or vector in the MA.

Kronos,
CO
