pretty funny comment
« on: February 15, 2011, 07:06:38 PM »
The latest "news" story is the Verizon guy has packed on a few pounds.  Another slow news day I guess but at least it's not JLO, ALO or ZLO.   Acting out of extreme boredom, I scrolled down under the story to read a few comments and found something surprisingly funny and so true:

"Buy into the hype. Exercise until you drop. Eat nuts and grass and roots. Feel hungry for decades. Die anyway."

"Then out spake brave Horatius, the Captain of the gate:
To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better, than facing fearful odds.
For the ashes of his fathers and the temples of his Gods."

Can't we just exercise anyway, still eat bacon(mmmm), not buy hype or anything else we don't need and maybe, someday, die happy?

Way I look at it, everyone is going to die from something. Now I can choose to die from eating roots and berry's 30 years from now when that stuff has rotted my guts.

Or I can choose to eat some real butter, some real bacon, and live happy for as long as I live.

Me I choose not to live in fear, enjoy what you have and damm the consequences, full speed ahead.

Of course you can always blend the 2 a bit.
We use olive oil where ever possible as it is much healthier, etc.
