Ability to set different skins for each bomber in a formation

It would be nice if one were able to pick a skin for each bomber in a formation, so that they aren't identical.  Add a bit of immersion.

Is that historically accurate, other than nose paint?

I thought squadrons were all painted in the same scheme.

no. oh no no no. sure they may have had some details alike but the nose art was different for each plane.

It makes films look crappy, especially if you want to use an amazing skin like "The Dragon and Its Tail"

being able to change the noseart would be nice but...think about the added load on your video card...may not be a huge load but for those who are running borderline now...unless you just want it visible to yourself.

It would need to be something that people with lower end video cards had an option to turn off, but I don't see it really being any different than being among a group of different player's bombers right now in terms of video card load.

I suppose the current 15 skin options per aircraft could allow for a formation of bombers that co-ordinated rather than looking like a WWI German circus.

This sort of thing would be a lot lighter on people's systems if it were just superimposed aircraft i.d. numbers and nose art rather than a whole new skin each time? That would suit squads and historical scenarios too, but would require an overhaul of all skins and code changes.

If you have other player's skins turned on, you shouldn't see any more strain on your graphics card as seeing multiple aircraft nearby.

I like the idea but I think that the purpose of the formations and the samwe skin would be to keep the bombers in the same color pattern of the squadron they flew and the theater?  I know nose art woul dbe great to be different but I also think keeping squadron colors the same is keeping it historical.  But it is a good idea.
