Tuesday March 1st, 2010 10:00pm Eastern in SEA I - Aces High eXtreme Air Racing League - Season 22 Race 05. Scheduled host is RDRTrash.
We know that yabojabo won the night in Race 03 and has picked the Fw190-D9 for tonight's race. The combination of RDRTrash's course along with yabojabo's plane pick is sure to lead to some fast flying and spectacular crashes.
On this day in 1942 - U-656 becomes the first German submarine of World War II to be sunk by Naval air (VP-82). The attack was carried out by Ensign William Tepuni piloting a Hudson bomber with Patrol Squadron 82 (VP-82). Two weeks later VP-82 pilot, Chief Aviation Machinist's Mate Donald Mason, sank U-503 southeast of the Virgin Rocks.

Monday March 7th, 2010 8:00pm UK/3:00pm Eastern in SEA II - This Day in WWII hosted by Brooke.
Join us to commemorate the Siege of Malta
March 7, 1942 was the date Spitfires first arrived to shore up the desperate British defense of Malta.
The small island of Malta played an extremely important role in WWII. It was an ideal base for British airpower to attack axis supply shipping headed to North Africa. The axis knew this, and there were ferocious battles for control of the island, with the Luftwaffe and Regia Aeronautica hurling their aerial might against tenacious, desperate RAF defense. It was a close thing, with the RAF defenders nearly being annihilated on several occasions. Had Malta fallen, the supply to and battles in North Africa could have gone quite differently.
On March 7, 1942, Spitfire reinforcements arrived from the carrier HMS Eagle. It marked the first overseas deployment of Spitfires and the beginning of a series of such vital aircraft-carrier reinforcements of Malta.
All players are welcome, and no preparation is needed. TDIWWII events have the theme of the battle, but they are not realistic recreations and do not require familiarity with any rules prior to joining us for the fun. More info can be found Here.
This event runs again at 10:00pm Eastern
