skins

umm question i got a custom skin from a skinner and it was in bitmap format. how do i change it from bitmap to .res so that i can view it?

i already have that, im trying to find out how to get it from bitmap to .res.

Can't.

Skuzzy will do that once approved and in-game.  Otherwise, you can  fly it in offline mode.

Download default skin for plane.

Change folder name to <plane>_xx

Switch plane bitmap with your new one

change the info.txt to something else (it will show up in the list in hanger as whatever you named it)

ah ok umm is there a walkthrough or a guide to this? im new to this stuff as you may know and i dont want to make a mistake and screw um my AHII game.

I just gave you a guide.

Download default skin for plane.

Change folder name to <plane>_xx

Switch plane bitmap with your new one

change the info.txt to something else (it will show up in the list in hanger as whatever you named it)

You will place renamed folder in your skins folder.

As long as you do not remove any native files in that folder, nothing will be "screwed up"

now i did everything on the list but idk where info.txt is. the file you are talking about is named b29. correct?
