Thanks guys. I just got here a little while ago, so I have several months to go yet. I'm in an interesting job, trying to help the Iraqi Air Force start up a T-6 training operation. We're working hard at finishing up their initial cadre of instructors, and some of them seem to be great guys, decent pilots and pretty motivated. Compared to what those guys are going through, my deployment is a piece of cake. Those guys are at constant risk of kidnap/torture/death, plus their families are at huge risk. One student pilot recently had a family member killed, probably because of the pilot's position in the military. But they keep showing up to work, so I better put forward my best effort while we still have a chance.
