It's a fine looking bird anyway. With a proper engine, prop and gun package it might well have been a killer.
That's just "what if" though, and doesn't hold any water.
The key problem was the weight of the turret and extra crewman.  It was never going to be a 'fighter' that way.  Just too much weight.  A big dangerous too if your strategy is to let someone get on your tail so you can shoot him.  As a pilot that calls for a lot of faith in your gunner
Done properly, it would have been a Hurricane.  And since they had those already 

Some brave men were sent into battle in those things, which was almost criminal to do
