Dive Siren for JU-87
« on: February 27, 2011, 08:59:32 AM »
Greetings    I would like to see a Dive Siren added to the JU-87 like in the original AW as well as the Angle of Attack Scale that was painted on the inside cockpit window. I cant remember if it was the right or left side cockpit window. Some wing mounted cannons would be nice but I am sure that horsre has been beat to death lol.

So has the siren wish ... the version of the Stuka that we have ... didn't have a siren.

The D-3 was the first Ju 87 production model to come out of the factory without the siren.  Guess what version of the Ju 87 we have?

The wing mounted cannons (if you're talking about the 20mm wing mounted cannons) were on the D-5.

The AoA scale was removed on the D-3 as it was no longer considered a "dive bomber" but now a ground attack plane so it was felt the AoA on the side windscreen was no longer needed.

Might want to take something for that cough, nasty cold has been going around.

Changing the sound of a file isn't going to change the fact the D-3 did not have the "Horns of Jericho".

Thanks but changing the sound file would only allow me to hear it. I just thought it would be a cool addition to hear the scream of the dive siren then the scream of the bomb as the Tanker pondered his Doom. <S>

Actually if you get the Ranger Platinum there is the siren upon releasing your bomb. Problem is with the wind file for siren, at level flight once you are up to speed cruising you will here it too.  :salute

Ugly05 is right.

No matter what sound pack you are using, you would be the only one to hear the siren.  The intent both in RL and in AHII is to have the poor souls you are diving on hear it.

That's what made flying the Ju 87B in AW so enjoyable, the other players could hear your siren.
