E6B units.
« on: February 28, 2011, 04:23:39 AM »
In the E6B it would be nice to have the units of the informations given (mph, lb, etc...). I would expect the units to be SI but obviously they are not.

Sir, im not playing for long, but we can quickly get used to convert the american system to SI, also the majority of the players are american, and i think that wouldnt be easy for them. What about an adjustable system when you can switch between SI and the american one?

Nothing in this game has ever based on SI, it's designed with tribal units from the start ;)

Won't happen, as HT himself has stated his dislike before because of the confusion it could create.

Why?  If everything is displayed relative to the same units of measure, what would you gain from seeing the units?  You could just as well call them "fizbins".

Again, if you know the max weight is 15,000 fizbins would you still want to try to up with 20,000 fizbins?  Pounds, Kilograms, Fizbins, Cowchips...  :D

no, but I might be interested to know how much weight the additional 20mm's on 190A5, or comparing the diverse numbers with outside references that may not share the unit format! Cmon its not hard to add (mph) after Speed, and would give the game a more professional feeling.
