Late War Atter Hours
« on: March 13, 2011, 01:45:01 AM »
Logged on last night and asked what the target was. I was told. Then I asked from what base did the mission up from.
The next comment i got was "from my mother's bedroom".

I sort of laughed it off and told the person, who I don't remember their handle, that they "must be into necrophilia because my mother died in 1989."

I then typed in "Goodnight All" and logged off.

My Mother died on Dec 20, 1989, five days before her birthday. Yes, she was born on Christmas day. So Christmas doesn't bring much joy to me.

My father died on New Years Eve, 2004. I heard him yell but by the time I could run to his bedroom he was dead. I don
t enjoy New Year's Eve much either.

The same year, 2004, on February 9, exactly one month before my birthday, I watched my wife die in her hospital bed, from a massive heart attack.

On June 20, 1999, my youngest daughter was in a plane crash. She was going skydiving. She survived the crash but went into a coma on the way to the hospital and never regained consciousness. She died the next morning on Father's Day, 1999.
Look it up in the newspaper for Paso Robles, CA. Suzanne Elizabeth Ryder - Gray. She was 29 years and 3 months old. Born March 20, 1970.

I only asked a simple game question. I didn't need a smartass answer.

I also don't remember the person that jumped in and told the jokester to take it elsewhere.
To that person, I would like to say thank you.

From what I've seen and read the Aces High Community is a great bunch of people. And I have enjoyed myself. But in every group there will always be insensitive people, that is something we all have to accept.

Just had to get this out of my system and make a comment.

Maybe when you live in to your 60's you look at life a little different.

Anyway, that is my comment for the night.

Sorry for your losses LabRat.

Whoever made that juvenile comment had no way of knowing and I'm sure if he/she had, it never would have been said.

Don't take anything you see in the text buffer to heart. Some people just can't get over the wise-ass streak that runs through them.

Thanks for your thoughts and comments.

I woke up this mornng and regretted this post.  :bhead

But I can't delete it.
So I would like it to end now with this final entry.

Now I know why there is a squelch command.

I should have just done that instead of this post.   :old:

P.S. To Skuzzy, please delete this thread.

That's just giving in to the terrorists. There's no need for it.

That "retardnet" bit gives me a twinge for personal reasons and I'm over it. There is no conceivable rational reason why I should put up with it either. That's giving in to the terrorists as well.

i tend to look at it as, 9 times out of 10 if they were standing face to face...their lips would not be uttering things that would get them knocked out...easy to laugh at and ignore.

Labrat this game is silly.  people say and do silly things.  If someone says something absolutely stupid (as is very common), well.......you are better off not caring about that.  I am sure the dolt had no idea of your personal history.

Dont sweat it, especially if you enjoy playing the game.  Just dont sweat it.
