Saw on the news this morning about the flooding in NJ (and tornadoes in the Florida area).  Just coming in here to check on everyone!

Nope.

When we bought this place the insurance company sent an agent over to see if it needed it.

We live on a mountainside about 350' up from the rest of town.

The agent said..." nah you folks are ok.  If it ever flooded to where you would be affected it means me and everyone else in town is dead".

i'm in south jersey. no flooding in my area.....not even the places that have been flooding for over 40 years in heavy rains.

it's bound to happen though.......population rising......building a LOT, taking away ground that could otherwise absorb the water....and doing absolutely nothing to improve the drainage systems.
