The Ki-46 Dinah was a reconnaissance aircraft with 1- 7.9 gun in the rear. Huge leap to switch it with the 110c. Agree, too many substitutions.

Here's a thought HTC. Have more planes available for Scenarios only and not available in MA. Great way to test stuff and attract more people too. At the very least have skins available so people aren't flying German marked aircraft in a Japanese Scenario etc.

Actually the plane the 110C4 is subbing for is the KI-45 "Nick"..  thanks for catching that.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kawasaki_Ki-45

I increased the number of them due to the preceived uberness of the Buffalo and the fact that the one we have is not equal to what was acutally in theater.

And I personally didn't fly this the last two times it was ran due to the number of substitutions.  This time it is far more accurate but we still have substitutions on the Axis side.

The Rangoon Write Up states the following bases are Rook:

Airfields A10, A38 and A37 will be Rook. Vehicle bases V2, V5, V22, V35, V32, V32, V34 and V25 will be Rook.

This list repeats V32...and produces the out put in following image.

Are both 23 and 33 excluded from what in essence appears to be a buffer zone?

Its unfortunate the arena setup model does not allow for warning ranges to be tuned or selected on a country by country basis..that would make this buffer zone a dead zone in terms of intelligence on both sides

Actually there is a new version of the map in progress, its not changing significantly but its going to require some mods to the writeup, and will be included in the one I will post tomorrow which will be final.

Registration is open.  I will post the final writeup once I get confirmation on some changes to the terrain and the guys look at it one more time.

No big changes, although we did add a third bomber group for 24 slots in the G4M1.

And Fudgums ..  :rofl Those guys really did like to talk, about cars, work, life, anything except the bad guys that were about to hand us our butts  :bhead

It was priceless, I wish I still had that film.

I was going to ask you before BOG if I bailed out over the airspawn and shot down a plane from my chute if it was allowed or not.  :D

BTW if you are going to do that map, look at the ranges set for warnings in the writeup it was 4 miles bombers, 3 miles fighters.  And those have shrunk some.. figure 2 miles for each plane type based upon the fact it is a jungle and visability is low unless you are on top of a mountain or bare ridgeline.

That map has the default rings...

Here is 4 and 3 mile

Actually, there is an opportunity to create a dead zone in an event.  The radar ranges are not tuned individually, but the base flash can be disabled individually per country so the neutral side can be effectively taken out of play as any reconnaissance tool.

But to your point as quoted, that would be a great tool to have, individual ranges and altitude options per country.

WarningFlags on a country basis...that is an excellent tool...the write up (yes I know its not completed)...makes no reference to utilizing the Warning Flags...here is hoping it does...

I hope you guys kill the flash on the neutral (Rook) zone entirely...make it a dead zone...entirely dependent on scouts and intelligence reports

I agree with your comment. Ranges are not able to be modified on country by country basis...and it would be great if you could

BomberWarningRange
FighterWarningRange
BoatWarningRange
VehicleWarningRange

Same goes for SectorRange and TowerRange

due to the perceived uberness of the Buffalo

Personally, I don't think that it's "perceived" at all, however I am anxious to see these new planes put to use in this scenario.  Maybe we can actually get the correct models someday.
