My parents won't let me climb trees.  I'm too old for airsoft/paintball (really, those things are for little kids).  A model airplane will only end up decapitating someone, and a potato gun will end up blowing me up.  Riding a bike?  Isn't that for elementary school kids?

I don't know what I'm in the right age group for anymore :(

There are no age groups for the activities you mentioned. The most important thing you need to remember (especially at school) is that the so called manners every kids of your age have concerning the ways you walk, speak, dress, study, or have fun will all change the very moment you finish high school.

There is not pre set limit or restrictions for what kind of things you can or cannot do when it comes to moving your butt out of the house. There is nothing more natural than riding a bike or playing paintball with a bunch of friends. There are phases of learning when you join an RC club and start flying a trainer plane with a trainer for the first time. The goal is to let your parents know that you know what you are doing and slowly letting them trust in your judgment and wisdom. By then, it will be time to leave the house and get an apartment and be a man.

That's just life and it's very simple. The system is what is making it look complex.

Are you dumb kid? In the UK soldiers train using air soft guns, its more of a grown up sport than anything! I used to fly air planes and i still have my head even tho i sucked at piloting, plus model air planes have no moving parts! and Potato guns are fun as hell! And what about all the adults who ride bikes for exercise or to get around or have a nice Sunday evening? SERIOUSLY  :furious KID USE YOUR BRAIN!

why do you keep calling him KID?   you are a kid.  USE YOUR BRAIN and kindly quit posting like a moron.  thanks.  :aok

My parents said that I was too old for it, so now I can't do it.  Whenever I'm playing around with my broken airsoft gun, my mom looks at me as if I were wearing a diaper.

My parents will never, ever trust me.  No matter what I do, it's immediately shut down.  From baking soda and vinegar rockets to using a stove, I know that I'll mess up eventually and hurt somebody.

sounds like over protective parents to me...you're either the baby of the family or the only child or you were sickly as a baby...

the best way to learn not to get hurt doing something is by doing something...as long as you think it through and it's not more of a risk than you can handle...if your parents object, tell them you're trying to grow up and learn things like the rest of the world so you can fit in when you're their age...

Being a redneck, or someone who loves their country is a far cry from being retarded, which is how you're acting.

Penguin, just go find something to do. You can find a LOT of stuff to do out in the middle of no where. Take up drawing! The middle of no where can inspire some BEAUTIFUL drawings.

Oh boy, a whole 2 years.

Most of the guys on this board are twice as old as us, yet they dont call us KID or BOY

Don't belittle someone just because your a nameless face behind the intardnet.
