Cap, there's no point. Thankyou for helping. But he has his mind set. No need to carry this on farther. All of this is just words on the internet. Just like two sides debating politics. There is no clear winner. I wouldn't believe me either. I'm the one living it, and I will be the only one who really knows who's right.

True that.  Not sure about winning though.  Had no idea it was a competition.  But if it was, I think Charlie is winning lol

Hang in there son. Hope things work out for you. I bet when your legal representation finally gets a hold of somebody in authority they will get it sorted. Please let us know how it turns out.

There will be plenty more annoying events in your life. How you handle them will be key.

Getting my car back tomorrow. Navy lawyers talked Toyota into refunding extra fees. Late fees, Repo, cost, lot fees, and early pay off amount for loan. They will amend my credit report. Got a call from some Toyota manager apologizing for entire ordeal. Same for all others involved. Just glad its over.

Been following this thread, and I'm really glad to hear that news.  <S> for keeping your cool during all this, especially when you were getting trolled here by someone with too much free time (although in the grand scheme of things, he was just a minor annoyance).  Glad to hear it worked out, and I'll keep all this in mind next time I'm looking for a car.

I'm happy this was sorted out for you, BlueJ1. I don't think the lawyer talked Toyota into anything. They just communicated with the right person or people in the right way. They elevated the problem to the level of management where logic and common sense lives.

There are two lessons here. One is serious and the other sarcastic.

It's better to have a lawyer handle this since they are emotionally detached and communicate better.

And two, you should never buy or finance a car from an American company. Toyota Financial Services in the US is managed and staffed completely by Americans. See how sweeping generalizations work?  ;)

Tell me you're being sarcastic as Toyota's have had some MAJOR ISSUES over the past few years.

Just because some guy plays a game with us online does not make him credible or reputable.  And I speak from experience on this one.

No doubt about that...   :rofl

==================

That is great news BlueJ! Finally some good news to come across in the world.

Well, they certainly got some major press.

You're aware that the NTSB and NASA determined that there was no issue with the electronic controls, and the "black boxes" showed that virtually all of the drivers were stepping on the accelerators and not stepping on the brakes at the time of the accident? Toyota chose to not blame those customers, though, just like they took care of BlueJ1.

Anyway, what's your point? Are you saying that people should not buy Toyota products?
