still cant get my mic to work.need help badly

ive got a dynex desktop mic(USB).i have windows 7 as well.when i plugged it in it auto installed itself.ive got it working as far as windows recorder(i hear myself loud and clear in it).
but when i set it up on the game,squaddie sais all i do is beep.BIG THANKS to whoever helps or gives me input

Which ever device you have set in Windows to work as a mic needs to set in the game also.

Hit ESC to pull up the clipboard and then click on Options then Preferences and then Game Sounds. Set the Microphone item as desired.

ive tried that+more things chalenge.and BTW my ID is MARSOC,that con you thought was going for HQ,was really a p38.i would have told u but im muted

When you get a beep, does your name stay up in the corner like you're transmitting or does it just flash and disappear?

it would stay up there but cant hear anything.the mic isnt muted or anything tho

OK a couple of questions....

1. Do you use a headset for your speakers with a built in mic or regular speakers??

2. Have you tried to use mic outside of the game???

the speakers i use are build into the laptop,the desktop mic is plugged into it.and yes,it works on windows recorder as well as skype
