I think he just shot someone's dog and is trying to say it's a coyote in order to get out of trouble.
Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.

Does favor a Husky. Either way that's not a full blood coyote what so ever.

someone had mentioned wolfs breeding with coyotes in the NE... I heard that somewhere too. were i live wolves are so rare you could say theyve been hunted to extinction. I've had horses growin up my whole life, we had one run in with wolves a good 10 or 12 years ago, havent seen any since.

back to OP...thats got somethin other then coyote in it, and seein the picture of the Timber Wolf up close..I would say wolf is interbred.

Timber wolf head is about twice the size of a husky's head. Passion a wolf I sponsor is much bigger than a husky although she doesn't have as much body fat as a husky. That 104lb critter looks alot like someones husky.

Looks mixed to me.  When I grew up in VT, I used to shoot coydogs all the time.  They run deer to death up there so Fish N' Game allowed open season on them.  Out here in CO, we have shot a few coyotes this year, nothing that big.  Usually around 45 lbs ish.  We saw what we believed to be a Wolf hunting Elk this year.  It definitely was not a Coyote and it was a long way from civilization to be a hybrid.

Timber wolfs are all but extinct in the NW.  The introduction of the Canadian Grey wolf in a effort to bring back the wolf population in the North west has killed off the Timber wolf population which is indigenous to the NW.

The WOLF population MUST be Controlled by Hunting and trapping.

We are seeing coyotes up here in Canada,Ont.where they have never been before! We have the last population of Red wolf left about 3 hours north of me and there's fear of a mixing of the 2.They have found plenty of dog/coyote mixes and this is a real problem as these animals arent afraid of man so much, some have even attacked small dogs that were on a leash.

A large part of the problem is in people trying to keep wolves and wolf/dog mixes as pets.Same goes for most of the suspected cougar sightings, for the most part they are thought of as released pets.Until just this year you could own just about any exoctic pet, provided the town/city you lived in had no bylaw against it.Four months ago a man who lived just outside the city I live in was killed by his pet tiger,ya the tiger was never a problem until this 1 time....

I dont hunt and when I fish I release my catch but I'd be the first to shoot any coyote/cat/whatever....if I had a gun.....

half wolf

That's what I think too.  We shoot quite a few coyotes here in Illinois, it is one of a very small number of animals that we are allowed to hunt with a rifle here in the People's Republic of Illinois.  I've never seen one even close to that size!  Wow!

ya all you gotta do is look at the thing, its very "grey" not red, besides its 104 lbs :rofl

its ether half wolf, or half wolf hybrid,I would be more inclined to believe its Hybrid, they just said its a Coyote, to stop people from panicking "ohh wolves are back"

I agree, most likely a hybrid.
