my only surprise is this thread isn't owned by BAR

and +1 to this, I'd like to see how people will 'game the game' with this tank

Even it up???  I think people forget that the M18 has armor like the M8 Greyhound.  The M18 may have the speed of the M3 half track and the same gun of the 76mm M4A3 (W) Sherman, but it does have a huge weakness in its very thin armor.  If HTC ever adds it to the line up, it will almost certainly need to be used in conjunction with other armored units.  Oh, and dont forget the open turret.  A quick burst from a fighter and that M18 tank destroyer just became a mule.

I think the M18 will be a huge disappointment to many people if and when it is ever added.  Granted, it would fill in the "fast/powerful" gap that is currently void, but there might be other AFV's worth adding first.  ;)

I'll love to see every one crying it out cuz it sux, the only good thing about the M18 was the speed and the gun and worked back then cuz the alied got air control, and it wasn't alone, but in here a single M-18 is goin to be a better target than a m3, even the spit I can out turret that thing, and a few hits from an M8 can kill it, so agains the medium tanks in here is just 1 thing.. dead meat, 1 ping kill.

btw...

IS-2???   No no no.  You misspelled "Su-100".  Try it with me:  S u 1 00.  OK?   :aok

There were 3400+ IS-2's produced.  Keep in mind that the IS-2 only carried 28 rounds of ammo and had about a 10 second reload rate.  The 122mm cannon was in the same category as the 17 Pdr, Panther's 75mm, and Tiger's 88mm.  So it would be a slower moving and slower firing Tiger, oh and dont forget the high maintenance (very low ammo count).

The Soviets produced 2300+ Su-100's.  Like the IS-2's 122mm gun, the 100mm gun is on par with the 17 Pdr, Panther's 75mm, and Tiger's 88mm, but it also had a very slow reload rate at around 10 seconds between shots.  It had similar armor to that of the Panther tank: strong up front, average on the sides.  It did have good speed for such a big TD at 30mph, but it lacked a single MG for defense vs infantry.  Oh, and it carried 34 rounds of AP.  It is one of the few TD's that left the HE behind in most cases.

I'll love to see the SU-100 here too like the Stug III, but the IS-2 even is slower he got more cons, 4 MG's for self defense, better armor, a turret, looks cool, and remember the IS-2 is a heavy tank, and the SU-100 is a tank destroyer, not the same.. im just asking for a soviet heavy tank :)

We should be good as soon as we get a tank that's in the tank destroyer archetype.. Above average speed, top tier gun, above average armor in the front.

The JagdPanzer IV with the Stu.K.42 L/70 (same as the Panther's Kw.K L/70 but w different mount) fits that bill perfectly albeit a 25mph speed.  Reload rate was very good too, 1 round every 5 seconds.  It carried 57 rounds of AP and the gun could traverse 20 degrees either way.  Frontal armor was 80mm at a 40 degree slope.  The Germans produced 930 of them.
