Nice catch. You should listen to their older stuff "black gives way to blue" holds no candle to their other stuff. Dirt is one of the greatest albums of all time IMO.

Without Layne Staley Alice In Chains is just not the same.

Not the same but still incredibly talented and still capable of producing ROCK music that is still in the top of the industry.  Black Gives Way to Blue is such an awesome rock album that puts all the poser emo rock bands to shame.  Coming from middle aged guys without their original one of a kind lead singer is nothing short of incredible.

"Black gives way to Blue" was really hit or miss for me but it is true that it is much better than a bunch of other crap out there.

well AIC is still one of the best bands out there
they went from a grunge type of music to a kind of rock type
like i said its a good band, there lucky they found duvall

and id agree with dirt being their best album yet
