GV overheat in using wrong gear?
« on: March 25, 2011, 10:02:53 PM »
in reality, if something like IDK a tiger, were to attempt to use gear 4 or so up a 30 % incline hill would the engine overheat?

More likely it would stall as it slowed down.

Tiger's engine is liquid cooled (most German tanks were) so unless something failed in the cooling system, no.

to overheat it, you would have you use something like gear 1 going down a 30% incline rather then up, as it would stall going up the hill in a high gear, but again, with its cooling system intact, no it would not overheat unless damaged

Lol this post should be:

Shouldn't tanks lose their transmission, catch on fire, explode, flip, or something rather then them going 200 mph--not an exaggeration I have gone down mountains faster then aircraft in this game--smoothly down the hill?
