i just cancelled my att account.  they were throttling me big time and I only play ah.  I was paying for 3.0 service and was lucky to get 1.2 unless i complained then they would come inspect the line and I would get 2.6 and above.  then 1 or 2 months later i was back to really slow speed.  I have cable internet now 10 times faster for 1/2 the price.

My cap is only 5gb per month since I am using a computer tethered to my blackberry as internet connection.

I have never broken the cap because I don't watch or download videos or download music.

Latency is about 290ms (using edge) and nobody has ever accused me of warping either here or at warbirds.

I'm planning on tethering to the laptop logged into the arenas in AH, driving the car with laptop over to a friend's house who's in the arena, and saying "knock Knock" on channel right as I knock on his door in person.

Folks, just a nit, but it is driving me crazy.

The 'b' stands for "bits", the 'B' stands for "bytes".  Please use the proper character if you are going to abbreviate bits (i.e. 5Gb) and bytes (i.e. 5GB).

Thank you.

Billing (and caps) is always mentioned in bytes though speeds quoted by providers are usually in bits/second.

Didn't know that. Learn something new everyday.  :)
