Improved film viewer
« on: April 03, 2011, 09:24:53 PM »
This has probably been asked for before, but I'll ask again.

I wish that HTC would rework the film viewer so that it accurately replays the flight just as it was.  I mean, I wish it showed the black outs.  I wish it used the same view settings as how it was filmed.  Etc.

You're wrong, sort of.  It isn't that easy.  What you are talking about will point the camera the same direction it was pointed, but it does not account for how you have set your head.  I believe you can set your views like you did in the game, but my experience is that the movements are soooo sensitive it is nearly impossible to get what you want.  I've never had any luck anyway.  I would happily listen to any tips from others.

My wish is that the film viewer would remember the views that I have set in game, as I have them set.

use recorded views just tracks the view inputs used (and can be selected otherwise in the viewer).

It uses the default cockpit views and overlays the input (not the views we adj ourselves  .hps).

I agree, I'd like my own .hps files be used instead of default.

Ditto on the black and red outs.

Plus control surfaces moving and instrument panels showing all input.

<edit> problematic is if you jump to another plane... for isntr. input/control surfaces

I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.

I'd like to see the feature we used to have in the AW films was the ability to jump in the plane and actually fly it during the film playback.
