Claw for offline
« on: April 01, 2011, 12:09:25 PM »
Would really like to have the Claw for offline?

I can't think of a single reason why not. Sure it won't be the best update, but it will be the easiest.

That's not the answer I expected, lol.

The only thing that comes to mind is it's not a real plane, but since it already exists it can't hurt anything to put it there. You don't necessary have to have it show up in the hangar, just a dot command like in the arena 51 can be fine.

Since you guys don't reuse con planes (with an exception to this one), I feel that the work that's put in them just gets thrown out.

RV8 was added to work offline, I think it worked out fine.

maybe it is because it makes the cons unike, if you missed the shark with lazer you just lost it for ever. done. that is a good strategy :)
imagine a future convention that would bring together all the old convention stuff.. in the future... its a propaganda. a good one that says "we have a history" as in "we are a family" kind of thing.  :aok

How special would the area 51 have been if the claw was always available offline?

Exactly. What's the point of having an evil con mission once a year,
where only the participants can fly the evil plane, if it will be available
to all soon anyway? It detracts from the 'Oh, remember that one time
when... ahh, good times those were!' if it were available 24/7.

I think we should all consider ourselves lucky that we were given this
once in a (period of time) opportunity to loligag around in Arena 51.
