Awfully pretty.

One of my favorite airshows I've been to was an evening show at my hometown airport. They had that B-17 flying in the sunset along with a few Mustangs and a Hellcat and Zero chasing about the sky. Amazing sight and sounds. Then they landed and all taxied about 5ft away from us on the way to parking.

I took these the next day while playing waist gunner. Sentimental Journey




Spent the whole rest of the weekend rushing outside every time I heard the sound of a four engine heavy flying overhead as she was giving rides till Monday.

Cactus, the had to pull me off that waist gun when I was a kid at the Denton airshow. One of the coolest days of my life.

Can happily say that I sat in the B-25's cockpit last september. Shivers went down my spine when I saw the nose art.

That's my local airport - Falcon Field in Mesa, AZ!  That B-17 and B-25 are with the Arizona Wing of the CAF based at Falcon - get to see them everytime I go to the airport.  A ride in either one of them is IIRC, about $400.  Hoping to someday hae the extra money laying around to go and ride in them.  Beautiful video - thanks for sharing!
