Claimjumpers and Jokers Jokers
« on: April 09, 2011, 06:53:30 AM »
:salute  You guys caused alot of pre-damage to the CV group and sinking one cruiser for the 132nd to finish off the CV and other cruiser.

We waited for as long as I could keep em holding!  I sent 6 scouts to find the CV...lite it and egress north!  If they were engaged they were to drop ords and and drag enemy north.  I was briefed that they only saw 3 cons defending the CV...six went in and 2 came out.  The Jokers had a blast picking off the two's and three's that tried to mix it up with the heavy nikki's and Ki61's.  We were over target just a few min after your drop and cleaned everything up!  Good plan and perfect timing over target!

I would say they had 30 plus F6F's and F4u1d defending C77

There were 16 F6fs defending C77 at multi layers.  There were 4 F4Us way out of position a sector to the NW trying to get back.

All in all, we had 20 defenders.  The attack on C77 was brilliant.  Absolutely magnificent.  We had heard of 30K fighters to the north so we had multiple groups of 4 trying to climb, then one of our flights of 2 spotted the 67s.  As we collapsed to the CV, hell was unleashed on us!

I have to say that the attack on C77 was one of the better attacks on a target I have seen in FSO.

Well done Axis!!!

CV 77 demonstrated how a solid plan on paper results in a "Mission Accomplished" by the fluid decisions made by both sides.  When I was in the scope, I only concentrated on releasing my bombs.  Once all were away, that's when I heard the sound of .50 cals.

45 minutes of nothing then 3 minutes of total hell!  The 132nd went down in flames for the Emperorer.  Banzai!!!!

The Hellcats and Corsairs protecting the fleet had plenty of altitude to dive on our Ki-67's since we were low and we were in our tail guns blasting away at many red targets.  We shot down 3 fighters and sunk the carrier and one cruiser.  A fair trade off in losing 9 bombers.

That's what FSO is all about!

Slipknt, you are too kind!  I was hearding cats trying to hold the CJ's back and the JJ covering us!  I knew the 132nd wanted 1st big drop and we had the crossing drop with intercept!
Action...yes!
