Probably the lower one as hispano was notorious for jamming under high g conditions. One hard turn, shoot and you're without guns  :aok
Only in the Spitfire Mk Ib, Spitfire Mk IIb and in its American M2 20mm cannon incarnations.  The Spits Ib and IIb due to being installed laying on its side and the American one due to being manufactured to "cannon" specs (think 75mm artillery) rather than machine gun specs and not adopting the British fixes to the HS.404 design.

The Browning .50 also had horrible jamming problems when mounted at an angle in the P-51B.

I currently fly the ME110G at 34,000 feet hunting bombers.

It's really not fast enough to make more than one slashing attack before having to creep up dead six at that altitude but the guns are powerful.

What really fun is coming down after the hunt and finding an enemy fighter who ignores the "up views" because he's at 28k feet and doesn't believe he will run into someone higher.

That's when I turn off the engines, dive in on his six, shoot him with whatever I ammo I have left,  and then hit him with the rear gun as I streak past underneath......if he's not a ball of fire by then.

I'll eventually gravitate toward the plane that nobody wants to fly and find that one place in the flight envelope that it holds an advantage.

A motto that I like:

"If it ain't Jap, its Crap"

Pretty much anything with a meatball on it.

Ki-84 and N1K2 are probably the most forgiving plane for me to get some kills in. In the MA the Zeke and the Ki-61 can be more challenging.

TA152.....for 163 baiting and then the hunt when he realizes he just used all his fuel climbing up 42,000 feet just to find a fighter who is intent on shooting him down.
