Does anyone know if the new sighting optics in the tanks actually work or is it just for show?  The range indicator never appears to move.

use the wheel on your mouse to adjust the site to your range

They do, but please note that American Tanks do not have an adjustable gunsight, so using the "adjust range" buttons do not do anything in there. You still have to use the old "ladder".
