No skill involved there.  Just another stupid driver that lost control under braking.

It was intentional, he merely cut the wheel and pulled the handbrake.   Watch the video again.    There a large element of skill there.

Lol shows how little you know about russian cars (and with this I'm saying how lucky you have been not to have to mess with them!) Lada Samara along with many other models was notorious for imbalanced brakes (rear brakes lock before front ones in emergency braking) which causes it to spin off control and basically kill you. Notice how he narrowly missed the oncoming traffic there?

The guy was racing the SUV, had to brake suddenly and lost total control. So much for skill.

Lucky there was no head on and death of a whole family.
Slow down, and don't tailgate.  Even in good weather.

You'd have to be blind not to see that he was racing the G Mercedes passing traffic from right side, had to emergency brake when the G slowed down due to traffic and consequently lost control.

I'm pretty sure it was not intentional, I don't think he could see the oncoming traffic from where he was. Pretty stupid to do something like that without making sure you're not going to end up as somebody's hood ornament first.

You describe it with all of the empirical authority of someone riding in the car, irregardless of the fact that there is no description of the video.

Looks like he regained control fairly expeditiously to me.  Hence the absence of car parts scattered randomly all over the highway.  In fact, there was hardly a bump when he hit the curb.

I'm not saying he was intentionally parking, but recovering from a skid like that, without crashing, requires a combination of skill, experience and luck.

ITS CLEAR he raced the G Merc and lost control. He was incredibly lucky the car stopped without breaking the wheels on the curb. At no point did he try to turn the steering wheel or do any visible control inputs. He spun wheels locked, front wheels straight untill he stoped to the curb. Just rewatched the vid.

The Lada driver was most likely drunk (there's a saying drunken luck just because of events like this). Recent study showed that 40% of Russian males are intoxicated every day in middle of afternoon.
