Please allow new mouse defaults to be disabled!
« on: April 26, 2011, 09:33:53 PM »
The only thing really driving me up the wall right now is the new mouse defaults. OK so I can turn off the aircraft views with shift + M, but then the mouse is gone when I pull up the clipboard! So have to shift + M to get it back.

Worse in the tanks as I cannot turn off the sight on the tank top unless I pull up the clipboard.

These defaults may suit some people, so OK no problem with that. Just allow us to disable the default!

Pain in the rear inflight to have a window pop up...have to bring up the clipboard so the mouse works to click to get rid of the window.

Why do you want to see the mouse pointer?

Is it just me, or does unchecking the default mouse look box not work for anyone else either?

It works, but is only used at game load time.
I.E. with it on the first time you fly you will be in mouse look.
with it off the first time you fly mouse look will be off.

After that it remains where it is until you press shift M.

The cursor  is not tied to mouse look.

For what ever reason the mouse look in aircraft did not behave properly the first time I used it. Having reloaded aces high rather than just relaunching an aircraft I am now OK with mouse look off and I now get my mouse curzer when the clipboard opens, as before the update - Pretty much back to normal in aircraft.

Noting HT's comments, because my key map was not the default I had to map a number of the new controls including shift + M. Mouse look was not checked the first time I loaded the game after the update, but it did actually default to that. The check box did not seem to make any difference at all - At the same time I had an initial problem in aircraft when the clipboard mouse curser disappeared with shift + M.

However, I would still like to disable the mouse in the tank (except for clipboard use).  I am more than happy to use just my joystick when in the commanders position with my view buttons.

What if mouse view were changed to one of the view options?
F1=cockpit
F3=External
F4=chase
F5=CM/distant view

F8 does a scroll view

Why not make F2 or F6 "Mouse View"
