Sun, Hills, and Trees

Was cruising in a panzer this weekend and noticed that the sun would disappear behind hills but when I passed trees the sun would reappear at each tree that was between the hills and me.  No screen shots or other information.

Just saying.

AH @ 1680x1050, 512 textures, auto FOV
in game options: As below except IIRC I had smooth shadowing and building shadows off at the time of the sun-bug screenshot.


Don't remember what map this was, sorry.
