beating a dead horse: windows 7 64-bit
« on: April 25, 2011, 04:07:55 PM »
just downloaded the new version on my new computer.

the window pops up for a second, then the program closes automatically. when i troubleshoot the problem, it prompts me to run compatability mode for XP. i do this, but i get a pop-up box that states "Aces High is not being run out of it's original installation folder". however, it is.

processor is Intel Pentium P6200 at 2.13 GHz

running DirectX 11.

anything i'm doing wrong, or that i need to do?

you're probably getting that error message because of the compatibility mode wizard...don't use the wizard.

hitech just posted a suggestion to rename the ahlogo jpeg file to something else and trying to launch ah without using compatibility or as administrator

do that and post your results here:
