Enabling the mouse cursor
« on: April 30, 2011, 08:42:29 AM »
Just curious when I open my clipboard, I can press H to make the mouse cursor disappear, could it not be setup where a person can decide if he wants a mouse cursor instead? Some use the cursor to help aim wirbelwinds and gunsights, my request is to make it available to the player to decide if he wants a cursor or not.

By pressing H you can have the cursor on the screen with or without the clipboard, this option allows players to decide - those who whine about it on screen can shut it off, the rest who use wirbelwinds will actually be able to aim again.

The main reason I am asking this, there needs to be a balance from realistic simulator to arcade. For example without the cursor, attempting to aim a Wirbelwind at high angles is next to impossible, true its not realistic yet I would want to believe some of the less hardcore players would be happier with the option of the cursor.

So some don't use it, they can press H, others like me would be happier with the option, seems like a fair balance?  :salute

Either people are using the Cursor or dry erase pen - what difference does it make to leave the cursor on? lol

Nope, and quite a few others can't either without spraying thousands of rounds.

that's the "simulation" part...see, laser accurate firing wasn't possible until electronic guidance systems were developed...short bursts, calculated adjustments and not firing at targets 5k away will lessen the spray and pray.

Uhh even with a simple mouse cursor you don't have laser accurate firing, you actually have to lead and be able to hit the target, practice long enough and you can possibly get this good.

1. Open Clip board
2. With the - on the upper right(?), make the clip board reeeaaaly small and then move it out of the way.

Cursor is there. No mouse view.
