Congrats to the US. While revenge and targeted killings are morally questionable, it tastes strangely sweet.

Do not compare this with Hitler, if anything, it is closer to killing Yamamoto in WWII. Killing the towel wearing sweetheartbag does not mark the end of anything. He was a symbol and this act is a much required catharsis for the American public, but in reality it changes nothing.

edit:
sweetheartbag ?! lol, I did not even suspect that that word was protected by the filter.

As great news as this is, I can't help but feel that his loyal followers
will be quite angry.. and REALLY angry people tend to be confrontational..

Stay frosty to those currently (or soon to be) in the sandbox.

Yeah, but angry people tend to act before they think. One can only hope that their retaliation is thwarted because of that.

This is just great news. Big  :salute to those who went into the compound, and to all who serve.

Just the fact that this thread is already 10 pages long proves that people do care and it changes a lot.
If you let such people live than what's stopping them from doing something like that again? He was responsible for all those lives lost and he had to pay for it. If US would have let him live it would give an example to everyone else that US lets people get away with such things, and that can not be allowed. He was a symbol to the other side as well, and now he is a different kind of symbol for al-qaeda.
It is a moral victory and a PR asset for Obama but nothing more. Israel has been doing this for years (while being criticized, where the US will not be). It is a hindrance to the other side, but has little effect on the grand scheme of things except when used politically. The only use of this event for a major change is if Obama declares that the US "won" the fight against terrorism and make it an excuse to pull out of Afghanistan as "victorious".
