I wish a tank could climb hill as it used to
« on: May 06, 2011, 08:42:16 PM »
......because they are now unable to climb into the cities.

In multiple models of tanks, I tried climbing straight up.....denied.

I tried traversing and "tacking my way up"........actually end up getting stuck.......yes...stuck on a simple slope with no other adjacent slopes or changes around.......actually grind to a stop 90 degrees to the incline and can't move forward or back.

Can't even move enough to point downhill so I can motor downhill toward the next hill that will keep me captive.

Yes! I can enjoy my sausage-less pizza and drink while climbing to my perch above unsuspecting vehicles  :)

Yes........once stuck on a slope dead sideways to it to the point that you can't move forward, you are also unable to move backwards because even a tank not climbing but rather traversing is subject to as much resistence to movement as it is climbing straight up.

Apparently, most here aren't intrepid enough to even run into this problem.

When was the last time you attacked an enemy city in a tank?

Ive been out hill climbing in them and have had little problem..    One base in particular on Baltic map 5K up an almost vertical incline.  M3 had to back up it and sherm could climb it in first but if you turned you would just have to keep turning and go back down the hill and start all over lol..    Over all I have not seen a problem as of yet.
