The Pe-2 would be a fine choice, but the Tu-2 would be even better.  The Tu-2 has level bombing capability while the Pe-2 would be like flying the early war version of the German 110 (C-4) with another 1k lbs worth of ordnance.

+1 for the Tu-2

There are many simmilarities between them. Imow, do you know anything about it, isnt the tu-2 based on the pe-2? If so, would be awsome to get both.

Early version Pe-2 would not get much use other than scenarios.  I'd +1 one of the later variants, or the Tu-2.

Pe-2 was more of an attack plane/heavy fighter type deal,  and the Tu-2 was more of a medium bomber but they are two diferent airframes, 1 used the M-82 engine (same as La's) and another used the klimov engine (in yak's)

Any and all of the Il-4, Pe-2 and Tu-2 would be welcome in AH in my opinion.

If we ever get this aircraft I would like the air to air RS-82 rear rocket option. :rock These are the same ones the Russians added to their A-20's. :x
