Airline - Passenger - ATC Communication
« on: May 09, 2011, 05:05:12 PM »
I heard that one of the airlines lets passages listen to all the radio communication, was wondering if anyone knew which one it is?
I don't remember the last time I been a passenger, so I don't really have much experience flying which all thous airlines. I don't care about the comfort levels or anything, just want to hear all the communications and be aware of what's going on.

Thanks

I seem to recall that quite a few used to, haven't been able to find that channel at all recently.  I just googled it, it seems that as of 2008 United was letting you listen in on channel 9, but that could well have changed since then.  FWIW, some of the newer Airbuses let you watch cameras mounted on the outside of the plane - could be a bit of a consolation prize, I guess ;)
Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

One more question, what kind of headphone jack do they have? 2.5 or 1/4?
